not sure about the finished treatment on this one and i was a little nervous uplaoding it. the colours originally bright blue. this is our little neighbourhood village. its a popular spot for sipping vanilla soy lattes at moka house, snacking on bubby roses vegan bakery treats and just plain people watching. currently listening to: wincing the night away ~ the shins

i think spring is in the air? it was actually sunny today. i had a really nice run this morning along the waterfront and i was able to get away with just wearing a sweater all day. so far we have had over 20 days of straight rain in the month of march. good for the shrubs but rather depressing for us humans. this photo was taken last summer. one sign you know summer is finally here is when those hibernating inside their toasty warm homes over winter finally come out to work on the yearly home renos. which reminds me i really have to get cracking on figuring out what to plant in my front garden this year! currenty reading: backcountry bear basics - dave smith currently listening to: miguel migs - 24th street sounds volume 1&2 recommended documentary: grizzly man

this shot i took on the bluff down at the beach. it was very vibrant in colour and the sky was the deepest blue. but i really liked the two tone i used to get this effect. it seemed to work best with the bare branches of the tree and bushes.

the beach behind my house doesnt compare to the beauty of the roughed west coast beaches along juan de fuca trail. but i will not complain that i can practically walk out my door and here i am. although not a well sanded beach, i did manage to snap this shot of the smooth grain when the tide was down. my australian husband, used to white coral sands along the NSW coastline, calls our sand dirt.
